There’s no doubt about it, researching and taking out insurance is a laborious job that we’d rather not have to do. Luckily there is a way to help make things easier and that’s by choosing a multi-cover insurance policy with HSBC Select and Cover Multi Cover Insurance.
Why is insurance cover important?
Insurance provides invaluable protection by making sure that you’re covered should something go wrong or the unexpected happen in everyday life. A good policy will cover you for a range of different eventualities.
Without insurance cover, you run the risk of having to cover your own costs in emergency situations. Insurance helps give peace of mind and acts as a financial back up and provides extra security when you need it most. Failure to have appropriate insurance cover in place could prove very costly.
Taking out insurance enables you to manage risks associated with the uncertainties of life and plan accordingly. These risks include falling ill, having an accident and damage to property. An effective insurance policy can make dealing with these risks more manageable by providing safety and protection when needed.
Reasons cited for not taking out insurance include it being unnecessary, too expensive, not fit for purpose, not worth taking out because the insurance company will not pay out anyway or that it’s just too complicated to source and organise. However, there are ways to keep things simple when it comes to taking out suitable insurance cover for you and your loved ones in the form of HSBC’s Select and Cover multi-cover insurance policy.
What is Select and Cover?
HSBC Select and Cover All in One Insurance is a pay monthly service which helps take the hassle out of organising insurance with a multi-cover insurance option. There are 7 different types of cover to choose from and you can mix these options so that your chosen multi cover provides protection for you and your loved ones under the umbrella of just one policy.
The insurance options available for selection cover Mobile Phones, Gadgets, Worldwide Travel, Motor Breakdown, Home Emergency, Starter Life and Excess Protection. There is no fixed duration of the policy so you can cancel at any time with no penalty.
How much does Select and Cover cost and who does it cover?
The cost of the cover depends on which options you choose. If you are a current HSBC customer with online banking and you regularly take out several insurance policies, then Select and Cover could be just what you need.
You need to choose a minimum of three options and the price starts at £19.50 per month, with each additional option costing £6.50. You can add or remove one option during the year and make as many changes as you like at the anniversary of the policy. The only thing you need to do is keep the minimum of three options at all times.
The policy covers you as the policyholder, your partner and any children up to the age of 18. It also covers grown up children up the age of 23 who are in full time education and live at home outside term time.
