It was a beautiful midsummer’s evening. On Friday 28th June, the sun was shining, the BBQ was lit, prosecco was flowing and a stream of guests started to arrive at a special anniversary party to celebrate the first birthday of The Spa at Hatherley Manor.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since I first stepped through the door of the spa when it was still under construction. Ahead of this initial visit I was thinking dressing gown, slippers, swimsuit, treatment, dip in pool and maybe a cheeky glass of bubbles at the champagne bar! Hmm not quite! It was sadly a case of hardhat, luminous safety tabard and a cup of tea albeit a very well made one. The Spa at Hatherley Manor finally proudly opened its doors in June last year after 18 months in the making and it was so worth the wait!

If you haven’t had chance to try it yet, then The Spa at Hatherley Manor is well worth a visit. Inspired by its cultural heritage, the Spa is the ultimate relaxation experience with a wide range of features including a vitality pool, thermal suite with experience showers, ice fountain, sauna, steam room, heated loungers and a tepidarium. A range of fabulous spa packages and offers are available and you can find more details about these and the exclusive memberships on the Spa’s website. The Spa can also be found on Facebook and Instagram.

The décor in reception is soft and contemporary and there are 6 beautifully spacious treatment rooms and a luxury relaxation room with in house products comprising of Elemis and Made for Life, the latter of which notably offers a range of Cancer Therapy Treatments. If this isn’t already enough, the view across the pool over to the courtyard outside is just breathtaking and the spa itself is a pure oasis of calm and tranquility.

Many thanks to The Spa at Hatherley Manor for the opportunity to attend such a lovely party, spend time in such beautiful surroundings and be a part of its amazing journey so far. Even more exciting developments are in the pipeline so make sure you keep an eye on the Spa to be the first to know what’s happening and when!
