And relax….. That was my first thought when I walked through the doors into the heavenly oasis of calm that is The Spa at Hatherley Manor. It’s been full on with the blog since the beginning of summer so where best to really kick my heels off and really relax with a day of fabulous pampering than in Gloucestershire’s best new spa!

On arrival, I was seated in the spacious reception area to fill out the necessary forms. The soft shades of the contemporary décor, calming music and invigorating spa aroma meant I was soon basking in the fabulousness of a day’s R & R and with a beautifully tempting view of the pool area, I couldn’t wait to get in there.

The Spa at Hatherley Manor has been inspired by its cultural heritage and offers a wide range of features including a vitality pool, thermal suite with experience showers, ice fountain, sauna, steam room, heated loungers and tepidarium. The Spa has 6 beautifully spacious treatment rooms and a luxury relaxation room with in house products comprising of Elemis and Made for Life, the latter of which notably offers a range of Cancer Therapy Treatments.

I’m a creature of habit so had booked in for my usual spa treatment of choice, the Intense Key Cleansing Salt Scrub and I wasn’t disappointed. In the soothing hands of Emma and the Frangipani Monai salt glow, body oil and body cream, the chaos of the preceding month soon faded away into a distant memory.

After a tough morning making the most of all the fabulous spa facilities, I was looking forward to lunch. There is a reasonably priced 2-course light lunch menu available, which you can enjoy as part of one of the spa packages or purchase a la carte during your visit. I opted for a lovely Greek Salad with Garlic tzatziki cheese and olives and although sorely tempted, managed to resist the luscious Chocolate Brownie, Vanilla Crème Brulee, Sticky Toffee Pudding desserts. For those of you who prefer the healthier option there is also a mouthwatering Fruit Skewer on offer.

I could quite easily have stayed in the spa for a whole week, as I don’t think I could ever tire of looking at the view across the pool on to the chic outdoor patio area. I was looked beautifully and nothing was too much trouble for the spa staff who were keen to attend to every possible need. It’s also very rarely that I slow down, take some time for myself and really start to relax so I loved every second of my day of R & R at The Spa at Hatherley Manor and will be back as soon as I can. I might even have to get myself on the exclusive membership waiting list!

Cin cin!
