Hurrah! It’s Saturday Spotlight time again! This week I’m focussing on the world of fitness! Those who know me well, will know that there’s nothing I love more than popping down to the gym after work. Well, perhaps not, but I do like the idea of doing so and am always happy to support the efforts of others from the comfort of my own sofa! However after chatting to this week’s guests, I may just be about to change my mind as maybe a fitness drive is for me after all!

Hi Lucy and Jonny, please tell me about your company and its history

Relentless Gym is the number one fitness facility in the Forest of Dean. We take pride in our first-class coaching, exercise classes and also the community we have built, which is friendly, welcoming and full of fun.

All of this means we have the perfect environment to help people achieve their health, fitness or strength goals.

We are here to help people improve their quality of life and to make them feel good about themselves.

 

 

Why is good customer service important?

Making people feel welcome is a top priority for us and means that they are more likely to stay at Relentless, become part of the family and achieve whatever goals they may have. We understand that joining a gym or walking into a gym for the first time can cause a lot of anxiety and even stress for some, so our first job is to make it an easy and enjoyable experience for all.

How would you rate the quality of customer service you deliver and why?

We are a busy gym, but we do endeavour to provide a high level of customer service to our members, clients and guests. From feedback we have gathered over the years, it is apparent we go above and beyond to help our customers.

 

 

How do you deal with any complaints?

We haven’t yet received any complaints, but we do welcome all types of feedback so that we can continue to develop and improve our business. Any feedback we do receive we respond to it personally.

How do you encourage customer loyalty?

We offer periods of free membership for those members who successfully encourage friends or family to join the gym. We are a flexible gym and members can move between different types of membership anytime and are not locked in to a contract for a set period of time. We often find that if people do leave us for whatever reason they do come back.

It has been really lovely to chat to Lucy and Jonny! I didn’t even realise that there was a no- contract health club in the area as the thought of being tied into contracts is always a bit off putting. Although I don’t think I’ll be pumping any iron any time soon, I’ve definitely got my eye on the pilates and there’s a fabulous deal on at the moment- £30 for 30 days! I’ll be down there just as soon as I’ve finished this glass of wine!
