Today’s Saturday Spotlight is a really exciting one. Finally I get the opportunity to introduce you to the very clever, talented and beautiful lady behind the Lady Janey red nails! We first met over two years ago when she was working from home and doing mobile work. Since then, her client base has grown rapidly and she now has her own beauty salon and will soon be starting work as a lecturer for the Hayden Health and Beauty Training Academy! So without further ado, here she is, the lovely Caroline Harbinson of Caz’s Nail and Beauty Salon, Nailbridge.
Hi Caz, please tell me all about your company and its history
I started 3 years ago training at HHBTA Hayden Health & Beauty Training Academy in Quedgeley. I then worked from home and mobile. A year ago, March 2017 I opened my shop at Nailbridge Drybrook, one of my dreams that came true. I built my clientele up and carried on with treatment courses. In December 2017 I started my teaching course and this has led me to a great opportunity to teach for the HHBTA academy myself from June, I’m so excited!!! This was my 2nd dream. As for the future, Caz’s Nail & Beauty Salon is planning to expand whether it in Nailbridge or maybe somewhere bigger one day. I would love another beautician to work alongside me where I can focus as a nail tech and teach students at the academy. Maybe bring in a hairdresser or two at the salon. But we will see. This is still a work in progress. I have worked very hard over the last 3 years to get to this stage, working long days but I have loved every minute of it. I have a saying in my shop “she believed she could… so she did.”
Why is good customer service important?
Customer service is a big thing for me. If you read my reviews on Facebook, customer service is the number one priority. My clients always comment on how friendly and welcoming I am which is really nice to hear. This encourages them to return to me time and again. One of my clients even made a model of my salon recently. It was a fabulously thoughtful present and I love it!
How would you rate the quality of customer service you deliver and why?
I aim to deliver the best possible customer service I can. If it’s good enough for Lady Janey then hopefully I’m doing something right! 😉
How do you deal with any complaints?
Face to face is the best way. I haven’t had to deal with any complaints yet ! But I’d always be happy to resolve the problem immediately.
How do you encourage customer loyalty?
I offer loyalty cards which every client loves!! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. I’m just me, just a normal down to earth working mum, what you see is what you get.
Why should people choose you as a company?
Great value for money! I want clients to return and beauty treatments are a luxury. At my shop I make them affordable but not by using cheap products. My clients are the ones that advertise me not just by their nails, pedicures or brows but by word of mouth. When they walk in they feel comfortable and happy. That makes me happy too.
